P740K shabu seized, 6 arrested in Albay

CAMP OLA, Albay – Authorities seized over P700,000 worth of shabu after separate drug buy-bust operations in Daraga on Monday and Wednesday.

Operatives from the Daraga police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) recovered 108 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P740,418.

Senior Inspector Mayvell Gonzales, spokeperson of Albay Police Provincial Office (PPO) said that on Wednesday, Jed Lolo, 35, a resident of Barangay Sagpon in Daraga was arrested in front of a barangay hall during the drug sting.

He yielded 100 grams of shabu worth some P680,000.

Gonzles is considered by the police as a high value target.

On Monday, 5 individuals were arrested including a contractor during a drug buy-bust operation in Barangay Tagas.

Cotton Yuson, PDEA Bicol spokesperson identified the arrested suspects as Mario Daet, 52; Marissa Dayto, 40; Nick Espedido 38; Pedro De Luna, 35 and Marjun Cabria , 26.

Recovered from them were 8.885 grams of shabu worth an estiomated P60,418 and other drug parapernalia.
