The public is warned against the consumption of five food products that were found unregistered by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

In its advisory no. 2018-305, the public is advised not to take Natur' Lait Whole Milk, Natur' Lait Flavoured Milk-Vanilla, Natur' Lait Semi-Skimmed Milk, Daiso Select Milk Cocoa, and Daiso Select Royal Milk Tea.

FDA postmarketing surveillance (PMS) activities have verified that the above-mentioned food products have not gone through the registration process of the agency and have not been issued the proper authorization in the form of Certificate of Product Registration," the agency said.

The FDA said that it cannot guarantee the quality of the said products since they did not go through the evaluation and testing process. It added that these may cause "potential health hazards" when consumed.

"In light of the foregoing, the public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative products. Moreover, the public is advised to be vigilant against food products that might not be duly registered with FDA," the agency said.

The FDA advised the public to use the embedded Search feature of its website to check if a food product is registered or not.

"All concerned establishments are warned not to distribute the above-identified violative food products until they have already been covered by the appropriate authorization (product registration), otherwise regulatory actions and sanctions shall be strictly pursued," the agency said.
