Passengers from Davao and the rest of Mindanao can now fly directly to Hong Kong.
Davao’s Francisco Bangoy International Airport officially launched its first Hong Kong-Davao-Hong Kong flight on October 28, 2018.

And due to high demand, Hong Kong-based Cathay Dragon will fly the Hong Kong-Davao-Hong Kong route five times weekly every Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursday, Fridays, and Sundays using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Cathay Dragon, whose home airport is the award-winning Hong Kong International Airport, is the premium, full-serviced regional airline of the Cathay Pacific Group.

On the same day, Northern Palawan's San Vicente Airport also opened its regular flights from Clark through Philippine Airlines (PAL).

The inaugural flight from Clark arrived at San Vicente Airport at 8:17 a.m. carrying 75 passengers on board. PAL will fly twice a day to San Vicente.

This development is expected to boost tourism and make Palawan more attractive to foreign tourists.

Meanwhile, Palawan’s main airport, Puerto Princesa International Airport, also welcomed on October 28 the inaugural flight of Eastar Jet from Incheon, Korea at 12:05 midnight carrying 156 passengers on board.
