Villanueva is the first nominee of CIBAC party-list. The other nominees includes Domingo Rivera, Atty. Lyndon Caña, Atty Armi Borje and Stanley Flores.

“At this point in time na nasa critical period na ang bansa, tinanggap ko ang nomination ng CIBAC,” he said.

Villanueva vowed to fight against corruption and continue the legislations of his son, Sen. Joel Villanueva.

“Ipagpatuloy ang laban ng CIBAC against corruption, mabigyan ng substance ang flagship program ng ating Pangulong Duterte. Magkaroon ng tunay na significance ang kanyang all-out war against corruption,” he said.

He also admitted that he already resigned as the spiritual leader in JIL after he started joining nation building.

After losing the 2010 presidential elections, Villanueva said that he has already moved on.

"Hindi ako naging stagnant because I’m not building my own Kingdom, I am building God and our nation’s Kingdom.

CIBAC is an organization who fights graft and corruption in the government.
