In its Advisory No. 2018-265, the FDA said that the products “have not gone through the registration process of the agency and have not been issued the proper authorization in the form of Certificate of Product Registration.”

The five food products are Euro Ojo Brand Milk Wafer Stick with Milk Flavored Cream; Chicken of the Sea Fancy Crab Meat; Yes! Mocca Cappuccino Candy; Echostore Honest Herbs Lagundi; and Roasted Pork Ribs Noodle Classic.

The agency noted that since unregistered products have not gone through FDA evaluation, it cannot guarantee their quality and safety and may “pose potential health hazard” when consumed.

“The public is advised not to purchase the aforementioned violative products.

Moreover, the public is advised to be vigilant against food products that might not be duly registered with FDA,” the agency stated.

The agency warned retailers that selling unregistered food product is against Republic Act No. 9711 or the “Food and Drug Administration Act of 2009.”

“All local government units and law enforcement agencies are requested to ensure that these products are not sold or made available in their localities or areas of jurisdiction,” the FDA said.
