CAMP OLA, Albay — An eight-month-old infant died from drowning while parents were asleep in Pioduran town, this province on Friday.
Chief Inspector Malu Calubaquib, spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO5) identified the victim only as Crissa, a resident of Barangay 1, Pioduran.
Initial investigation revealed that around 5 a.m. on Friday, the parents Crissa woke up from deep asleep and noticed that their baby was missing.
Immediately, they searched for the missing infant and found her body floating in their flooded backyard.
Investigators were still figuring out how the infant ended up from her parents’ bedside to their flooded backyard.
