DPWH issues road advisory for Region 1

The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) issued a road advisory for Northern Luzon in light of the continuous heavy rains. Regional information officer Esperanza Tinaza said the agency reported today that Tagudin-Cervantes Rd, K0358+500 and the Naiba, Cervantes, Ilocos Sur roads are closed due to rock and landslides.

It has also installed road signages, warnings and informative signs on the ongoing removal and clearing operations of the maintenance crew, and the presence of one backhoe and one payloader, and noted that (continuous heavy rains in the area hampers clearing operations.

One lane passable

Ilocos Norte 2nd DEO

Pinili-Nueva Era Road K0462+800-K0462+822.5 Barangay Liliputen,Pinili,Ilocos Norte
due to eroded road shoulder.
Installed warning/informative signs, on-going clearing operations.

Ilocos Norte -Apayao Road KO528+400-K0528+418 due to edored road shoulder ,K0534+650-K0534+686 , K0 536+200-K0536 +223 ,K0 536+500-K0536+536,due to damaged Portland Cement Concrete Pavement and collapsed slope
Barangay Maananteng, Solsona,Ilocos Norte

Pangasinan 1st DEO

Garrita Bridge (detour), Bani, Pangasinan PASSABLE TO LIGHT VEHICLES only.
Heavy vehicles may take alternate road at Mabini-Bani provincial Road or Alaminos-Burgos Agno-Bani Road (national road)

La Union 2nd DEO

K0 266+750 at Barangay Imelda,Naguilian ,La Union, due to the construction of Reinforced Concrete Box Culvert, Baguio east-bound vehicles take old road, Brgy. Imelda, Naguilian Rd while La Union (West)-bound vehicles should pass the one lane to make it two-way passable to all types of vehicles.

Not passable to light vehicles

Pias-Currimao-Paoay-Balacad Road underwater .20 to.25 m Barangay Paratong and San Juan,Paoay,Ilocos Sur

Esperanza said all District Engineering Offices are monitoring their Area of Responsibilities specifically along flood-prone and landslide/erosion-prone areas.
Quick Response Assets are deployed/prepositioned at strategic locations. The maintenance crew of affected areas are in their area of responsibilities.
