Alleged new drug pusher in Agusan del Sur arrested

CAMP COL. RAFAEL C. RODRIGUEZ, Butuan City – The regional command of Northeastern Mindanao Police Regional Office 13 (PRO 13) on Wednesday said elements of police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested during buy-bust operation an alleged new identified Street Level Target-Pusher (SLT-P) in Agusan del Sur province.

PRO 13, identified the arrested suspect as Ceferino A. Lansangon, 30 of Purok 2-B, Barangay Karaos, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur,

Initial report received by the regional command of PRO 13 based here from San Francisco Municipal Station (MPS) stated that elements of San Francisco DEU-MPS, Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Agusan del Sur Public Safety Battallion, in coordination with Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 13 conducted buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of the suspect and confiscation of 5 sachets of suspected shabu with estimated DDB value of P47,200, 3 pieces 100 peso bill as marked money, 3 pieces folded aluminum foil and 1 unit cellphone Samsung.

Arrested person and confiscated items are now in the custody of San Francisco MPS for proper disposition.

Last week, various DEU’s of PRO 13 also nabbed 11 suspected drug pushers in massive police operations in different areas of Caraga region.

PRO 13 Regional Director Chief Supt. Noli A. Romana told The Manila Bulletin on Wednesday that the anti-illegal drug operations were conducted in a buy-bust or an implementation of a search warrant issued by the different local courts in the region that resulted in the confiscation of 30 plastic sachets of suspected shabu (crystal meth) weighing 16 grams and worth P190,000 in street value.

The region’s police chief applauded the relentless efforts of his men, saying “the PRO 13, with partner agencies will continuously conduct pro-active measures and intensify its effort to wipe out all forms of illegal drug activities for a drug-free Caraga region”.
