PILAR, Bataan — A teenage girl who accepted an offer to hitch a ride in a tricycle, ended up being gang-raped by up to five men in this town last Thursday, police said.
Chief Inspector Jeffrey Onde, local police chief, said his men have already arrested principal suspect Edu Cariaga, 22, of Barangay Bilolo, Orion, but the latter has refused to identify his four alleged cohorts.
Investigation showed that the teenage girl was walking home around 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Barangay Alauli when Cariaga stopped and offered her a ride in his tricycle.
She accepted the offer, but along the way, Cariaga allegedly sprayed something in her face that made her black out.
When she awoke, the victim said she was already inside a nipa hut with Cariaga and four other men who allegedly pinned her down and took turns in raping her.
Onde said the girl managed to get home after her ordeal and was later accompanied by her guardian in filing the complaint with police.
Onde vowed to arrest the four other suspects still at large.
