Only 100 pieces of the replica will be available for sale starting this Saturday, August 4 at 10 a.m. at the Manila Cathedral Souvenir Shop.

“Only 100 pieces will be available this Saturday,” the Manila Cathedral said in a Facebook post.

According to Father Reginald Malicdem, rector of the Manila Cathedral, the exact image was made possible via digital scanning and printing.

“The image at the altar was digitally scanned and printed to get the exact proportions,” he said in an interview.

It was in June when the Manila Cathedral announced the creation of the small replicas of the Immaculate Conception as part of the celebration of their 60th anniversary.

“To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the rebuilding of the Manila Cathedral postwar, with the help of DigiScript Philippines Inc., we are now in the process of creating small replicas of the Immaculate Conception image on the sanctuary of the Manila Cathedral,” the cathedral said.

“Through 3D scanning and printing, we will make sure that the images to be produced are exact copies to the detail,” read their previous post.

Measuring 15 inches from base to top, the image will be sold for P1,300.

The image will come in a clear acetate box with a card of authentication inside.

To those interested in buying an image but won’t be able to go to the cathedral this Saturday need not worry as the stocks will be replenished in the coming weeks.
