The unprecented coup against the Speaker of the House is a clear representation of "cracks" inside the Duterte administration, Senator Antonio Trillanes described Monday night.

Trillanes described what happened at the House of Representatives before President Duterte delivered his State of teh Nation Address as fight over power, saying, "the spectacle is an ultimate manifestation of the factionalism of the Duterte administration."

Kumbaga, buhay pa 'yung bangkay ay hinuhubaran na (Before it was just a rumor but this time they can no longer resist to figt over position)," Trillanes said.

The senator said the "cracks in the administration" is now being uncovered "resulting to ignoring the problems faced by every Filipino."

He said key issues on price hike of goods, on the West Philippine Sea, and extra judicial killings have been forgotten.

Plot to oust

Trillanes believes that the ouster of House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and "installment" of former President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to the post "was influenced either by the president or someone close to him."

We have that kind of information and here we can see that their claims on independency of the legislature is not true)," the senator said.

We already know that a change or any movement on the leadership of the House of Representatives has a blessing from Malacanang. If not the president, it is someone close to him)," he added.
