Ground equipment hits PAL aircraft; replacement plane proceeds to Manila

Philippine Airline aircraft replacement of flight PR-103 is set to arrive this morning July 22, 2018 after the air stair hit the wing while at the Los Angeles Airport.

Cielo Villaluna PAL spokesperson said the Los Angeles to Manila flight yesterday-- PR 103—was declared cancelled. She said that” moving ground equipment hit the wing of the aircraft; Aas such, the aircraft had to remain on ground in LAX Airport for repair.

She said:”An aircraft is slated to depart this evening from Manila to be used to pick up affected passengers. We seek the understanding of our 324 passengers affected by this incident."

The PAL spokesperson said “The incident happened before boarding,

so there were no passengers inside the plane when ground equipment (airstair) hit the wing.

Villaluna said the replacement flight departed LAX Airport at 12:05 a.m. July 21 LAX time, arriving in Manila at 6 a.m. July 22
