Flooding hits 18 Pangasinan towns

DAGUPAN CITY---At least 18 towns in Pangasinan province were under floodwaters, with some roads and bridges being not passable.

Among those under water are Alaminos City, Bani, Agno, Sta. Barbara,Calasiao, Manaoag, Dagupan City, Mangatarem, Labrador , Mabini, Lingayen , Bugallon, Urdaneta City, Malasiqui, Agno, Natividad, Dasol and Bayambang .

Roads and bridges were not passable in Sitio Putrido (and) Dimmayat Bridge in Alaminos City, Garita Bridge in Bani ; Macaboboni sitio Abagutanen , Sabang Agabagatanen in Agno, Alibago dike in Sta. Barbara with leakage; in barangay Lasip, Mancup, Talibaew,Dinalaoan in Calasiao not passable and Castillo road in Manaoag not passable .

DPWH Region 1 said as of July 21, 2018, Manila North Road Nancayasan Section, Urdaneta City and Urdaneta-Dagupan Road, Catablan & Pinmaludpod Section hardly passable to medium trucks and light vehicles due to flooding.

Motorist were advised to taKe TPLEX.

All national roads within Dagupan City, Calasiao & Sta. Barbara not passable to light vehicles. Hardly passable to medium size vehicles. San Carlos-Calasiao Road not passable 0.60 meter deep water & Bani-Agno Rd not passable to light vehicles.

Esperanza Tinaza , Regional information officer of DPWH region said all maintenance engineers and maintenance point persons monitoring areas of responsibilities. Maintenance Crew deployed and doing various maintenance activities in their area of assignment. Equipment are prepositioned in strategic location.
