CALATAGAN, Batangas — A ferryboat with 57 passengers and a crew of 10 sank in waters off this town due to strong waves Friday afternoon, police said.

An initial report from Batangas Police Provincial Office (PPO) said “M/V Lucky Benjamin” sank at 2:05 p.m. while approaching the boundary of Calatagan and Occidental Mindoro.
The PPO said all passengers and crew survived the accident.
It was learned that M/V Lucky Benjamin was headed for Looc, Occidental Mindoro.
