Province of BATANGAS -- A suspected drug peddler was killed while three alleged drug users were arrested who were caught while in pot session in separate anti-illegal drugs operations conducted in the province, police report said Tuesday.

A report from Batangas Police Provincial Office (BPPO) said suspect Rolando Ternida alias Lando was declared dead on arrival at Calatagan Medicare Hospital due to sustained gunshot wounds in the body.

Report said operatives of the Calatagan Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) conducted a buy-bust operation against Ternida in Barangay Poblacion 1, Calatagan at around 9:50 p.m., Monday.

On the other hand, three suspected drugs users were caught while sniffing shabu in a pot session in Barangay Mahabang Parang, Batangas City.

Arrested persons were identified as Roydan Acosta alias Boots, 28, a drug surrenderee, Immaculate Apolinario, 34, alias Ima, a newly identified drug personality in the city and John Patrick Du alias JP, 26 years old.

Police record showed that Du was arrested with the same offense on November 2016 and he was released from jail last June 18 after availing plea bargaining agreement of the court.

Report said operatives of the Batangas City DEU were conducting surveillance at the rented house of Acosta when they caught the suspects while in pot session.

Police recovered 29 sachets with suspected shabu worth more than P13,000 and drug paraphernalias.
