FEU confers honorary degree on Ramon Ang

Far Eastern University (FEU) has conferred Ramon Ang – business magnate, leader, and philanthropist – with the degree of Doctor of Business Engineering Honoris Causa.

Graduated in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Ang receives the honorary degree for embodying the FEU core values of fortitude, excellence, and uprightness.

“FEU is proud to bestow this significant honor on a man of excellence, patriot, and one of our own outstanding alumni,” says FEU president Dr. Michael Alba.

Spearheading nation-building projects, interconnecting transportation systems, building modern power facilities, providing world-class public utilities, Ang has raised our country’s competitiveness and helped improve the daily lives of millions.

He continues to introduce innovations leading the San Miguel Corporation into becoming one of the nation’s largest, most diversified companies, spanning the industries of food and beverage.

This philanthropist has also implemented some of the biggest corporate social responsibility initiatives in the history of Philippine business, addressing critical needs like housing, job creation, education, environmental sustainability, and disaster preparedness.

The conferment of the honorary doctorate on  Ramon Ang was made last June 27 during FEU’s s 90th General Commencement Exercises  at the Philippine International Convention Center.
