BTS wins at 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards


K-pop boy band BTS emerged as the biggest winner at the 2018 Radio Disney Music Awards by garnering three awards.

The ceremony, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, was aired on the Disney Channel on June 23 (June 24 in Manila).

BTS won the Best Duo/Group over Clean Bandit, Echosmith, Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5.

They also bagged the Best Dance Track for "Mic Drop (Steve Aoki Remix).” The other nominees were "Friends" by Justin Bieber and BloodPop, "Let Me Go" by Hailee Steinfeld and Alesso featuring Florida Georgia Line and Andrew Watt, "The Middle" by Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey, and "Silence" by Marshmello featuring Khalid.

“DNA,” a track in BTS’ album “Love Yourself: Her,” won the Best Song that Makes You Smile over "I Miss Those Days" by Bleachers, "No Excuses" by Meghan Trainor, "One Foot" by Walk the Moon and "So Much More Than This" by Grace VanderWaal.

BTS ARMY, collective name for BTS fans, won the Fiercest Fans award, edging out Mellogang of Marshmello, Megatronz of Meghan Trainor, Selenators of Selena Gomez and Mendes Army of Shawn Mendes.
