10 houses razed by fire that hit Malabon

Despite of the downpour, at least 10 houses were razed by fire that broke out in Malabon City this afternoon.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said the fire started around 1 p.m. inside a house which is just near an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) refilling station on Pinagsabugan Street in Barangay Longos.

The blaze easily escalated to adjacent houses mostly made of light materials.

The fire reached the third alarm until it was declared out after an hour.

The BFP is still investigating the cause of the fire and the number of affected families.
