The Land Transportation Office advised the public that its systems were currently down following the reported multiple fiber breaks nationwide of its internet service provider, PLDT.

The LTO, in its advisory, said several PLDT services are down affecting their office and other major industries.

"We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the PLDT fiber breaks as this affected LTO outlets. As of the moment our systems are down (cannot issue drivers license)," the advisory stated.

The agency, meanwhile, said it was notified by the telco that fiber optics cable is expected to be restored around 8 p.m. Thursday night.
