Ever thought why Marvel gave away Captain America’s phone number (678-136-7092) in the film ‘Avengers: Infinity War’? (via Marvel) (via Marvel) Sibling directors Anthony and Joe Russo revealed in an interview with Huffington Post that if fans dialed and called the given phone number, they were supposed to receive a voice message from Steve Rogers himself. “We actually had intended to create a fake voicemail from Steve Rogers,” said Joe Russo. “And that number was the actual number that we were going to use. We were sort of given that number,” Anthony Russo added. Unfortunately, the idea was scrapped out by the film’s legal department. "We had it all ready to go, but legal took that away from us," Anthony explained.
