Sta. Cruz Parish set as Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament

The Archdiocese of Manila will hold several activities for the observance of the Solemnity of Corpus Christi and the declaration of the Sta. Cruz Parish in Sta. Cruz, Manila, as the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament on June 3.

In a circular addressed to the clergy and superiors of religious men and women in the archdiocese, Manila Archdiocese chancellor and Manila Cathedral rector Rev. Fr. Reginald R. Malicdem announced the activities to be held at the Sta. Cruz Parish on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi (Feast of the Body and Blood of Christ)
on June 3, which coincides with the declaration of the parish as the Archdiocesan Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament.

Assembly time will be at 1:30 p.m., to be followed by the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 2:05 p.m. Bishop Sofronio Bancud will hold a talk on “Eukaristiya, Biyayang Kaloob sa Paglilingkod” at 2:10 p.m. At 3 p.m., Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle will preside over a Eucharistic celebration at the church.

This will be followed by a procession at 4 p.m. towards the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.
