As a husband to Bea (Kate Alejandrino), he brings his award-winning “roles” in their home, making it difficult for Bea to understand her actor-husband.

“My character here is an actor who married his fan,” says this Communication graduate of Southville International School and Colleges. “Every time he has a new role, he brings it home with him. The crazy part is the wife supports him all the time!”

We last saw Joross play a gay character in Deadma Walking at the 2017 Metro Manila Film Festival. Why did he accept the project? “I like the material! It’s unique, new, and fresh!” muses the 2012 Cinemalaya Best Supporting Actor.

In this CineFilipino entry, he plays a romantic lead, a dog, a priest, and his greatest role—a serial killer!  Will he kill his wife?

In real life, Joross plays a doting husband to his college sweetheart Katz Saga and father to two sons, Jace and Kody.

“My self is my least priority,” said the former member of the Star Circle Batch 1. “My wife and two kids would always be first. I just need to keep an intimate relationship with God and everything will just follow.” 3

Joross has been in the entertainment industry for 14 years. How does one sustain longevity?  “Let’s just say I didn’t let the system eat me. Years are better than books,” says the 33-year-old actor.

What makes a good comedian or actor? His short answer, “Timing and commitment.”  It was pure accident that he became an actor. “I became something I never dreamed of  before,” he adds.

It took Joross 13 years to get a college degree, juggling his showbiz commitments and classes.  He says, “Well, education is important for everyone. Period.”

He has tried different acting techniques: method acting, Stella Adler, Meisner Technique. “I do a little bit of everything, depends on the role,” he quips.  But in playing Yogi in Mga Mister ni Rosario, he masters the method acting associated with Marlon Brando and Dustin Hoffman.
