“Miss Sherlock” premieres globally on HBO on April 27at 9 a.m., with a same day primetime encore at 9 p.m. New episodes will debut at the same time every Friday. The series will also be streaming on HBO GO.

This eight-part, hour-long HBO Asia Original Japanese drama series, a co-production with Hulu in Japan, is a bold interpretation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes, re-envisioned in Japanese and set in modern day Tokyo with the iconic characters – Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson, played by women.

“Miss Sherlock” is HBO Asia’s eleventh Original production since their first production in 2012. Other upcoming Asian Original productions by HBO Asia include “Folklore” – a six-part horror anthology series based in six different Asian countries; “Grisse” – an eight-part hour-long period drama series set in the mid 1800’s within the colonial period of the Dutch East Indies; “Master Of The White Crane Fist: Wong Yan-Lam” and “Master Of The Nine Dragon Fist: Wong Ching-Ho” – the third and fourth instalment of the Chinese language martial arts anthology movie series following previous two instalments that premiered in 2016.
