Labor and Employment Secretary Silvestre Bello III said the special lane aims to assist OFW returnees especially those from Kuwait.

It was last month when the DOLE ordered a total ban on the deployment of OFWs to Kuwait.

"Depending on their skills and work experience, we will link them to available job opportunities here in our country or provide them free skills training, if needed,” Bello said in a statement.

According to the labor department, thousands of employment opportunities from various local employers and private recruitment agencies will be made available during the Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan (TNK) job and business fair.

There will also be employment opportunities for skilled workers in the construction industry.

Bello urged jobseekers, workers who have returned from overseas deployment and graduating students, to take advantage of the one-day fair.

To avoid the long process of registration, Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) Director Dominique Tutay advised jobseekers to pre-register at the PhilJobNet, the government’s official job search, job matching, and labor market information portal, from March 12 to 21.

Jobseekers may log-in at the PhilJobNet portal, click ‘job fair’, and click ‘join job fair’ for the TNK Cuneta Astrodome. Click ‘yes’ to join job fair and pre-register.

The applicant should then print the job fair pre-registration online stub and present it to the event organizer at the registration area during the day of the job fair.
