Petron takes down F2, stays unbeaten in PSL

Petron overcame a sluggish start to pull off a 20-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 victory over defending champion F2 Logistics Saturday to remain unscathed in four matches in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Grand Prix at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Americans Lindsay Stalzer and Hillary Hurley were impressive as they helped the Blaze Spikers maintain their unbeaten start in the tournament.

Stalzer and Hurley had 19 kills apiece to finish with 21 and 20 points, respectively, for the Blaze Spikers, who started out slow before catching fire at the attack zone in the second and third sets en route to the victory.

Maria Jose Perez, the MVP when the Cargo Movers defeated the Blaze Spikers in the finals last year, emerged with 21 points.
