Chief Supt. Graciano Mijares, director of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) regional police, said armed groups detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) that hit a military truck carrying a group of soldiers in Barangay Meta of Datu Unsay town.

He identified the wounded soldiers as First Lt., Jano Cyril Reyes, PFCs Maguncia, Private First Class Purol, Private First Class Crispo and a certain Private Ramirez, all assigned to the 57th Infantry Battalion.
