Big-time cockfests at Pasay City Cockpit resumes today with the staging of the Happy Birthday Mam Rhona 4-Cock Derby.
Select members from the Rizal Gamecock Breeders Association (RGBA) and Pilipinas Gamefowl Breeders Derby Association (PGBDA) will compete in the event hosted Rhona Bullecer of Rizal.
The guaranteed prize is expected to reach P300,000 with Sagupaan Superfeeds and Complexor 3000 as main backers.
Another group, the Luzon Gamecock Breeders Association (LGBA) holds the first leg of its derby circuit at Pasay Cockpit on Feb. 19, 23 and March 9 (7-cock derby).
Preparations are also underway for the J and B Kaingin Big Event 6-Cock Derby on March 2.
Jojo Cruz of the Ultimate Fighting Cock Championships (UFCC) will host the event.
