City of Malolos, Bulacan — Burglars ransacked three rooms occupied by a group of eight Koreans at the Club Royale Hotel in Barangay Mabolo, this city, carting away more than a million pesos in cash and valuables last weekend.

Police identified the complainants as Korean nationals Kim Sea Won, Kanh Hae In, Choi Yean Ju, Kang Jeon Uen, Park Si Woong, Kim Min Seong, Park Jun Wan, and Lee Gyu Ho.

Based on their complaint, they left their rooms to shop at the nearby Robinsons Galeria and upon their return, they were all surprised to find that the doors of their hotel rooms were open.

Probing further, they found that their personal belongings were in disarray and their precious items and bags were missing from their bags.

Police investigators who arrived revealed that the hotel’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras do not work and the establishment had no security guard on duty.
