The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is partnering with Jollibee Food Corporation (JFC) and Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) on a program that seeks to mentor 20 to 30 micro, small, and medium enteprises (MSMEs).

The parties signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on April 17 in a ceremony led by DTI Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual with Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) Assistant Vice President for Public Affairs Steve Piczon, Vice President for Public Affairs Atty. Raul Academia, and Jollibee Group Foundation (JGF) President Ma. Gisela Tiongson.

"This MOU symbolizes a partnership built on shared values, mutual respect, and a common goal. It is a testament to our collective belief in the private and public sectors in the transformative power of entrepreneurship and the profound impact it can have on individuals, families, and communities.," said Pascual in a statement.

Conducted by JFC and JGF, management officials and experts from the company will share their insights and experiences with trainees for a half-day capacity-building session.

This will be done on April 25 at the Jollibee Plaza Building in Ortigas, Pasig City.

At the sidelines of the Plug and Play accelerator program event on April 17 in Makati City, Pascual told reporters that the signed MOU was only for a single mentoring session, which can possibly be repeated depending on the reception of the trainees.

"Depending on the experience, we'll see whether its gaining traction, if the participants will appreciate their sharing of experiences and expertise," he said.
