P/$ rate closes at P49.11/$1

The peso closed  lower  at P49.11  to the US dollar Thursday, (July 1)  from P48.80 the previous day. The weighted average rate depreciated to P49.004  from P48.704. Total volume amounted to $1.348.89 billion according to the Bankers Association of the Philippines.
