‘Bar Boys: A New Musical’

“Bar Boys: A New Musical" is a local theater production adapted from the critically acclaimed film by Kip F. Oebanda. Its story centers on the life of four friends and their journey to become defenders of justice. The ticket price starts at P2,200.

‘Rent’

Where: RCBC Plaza, Ayala Ave., Makati City

Jonathan Larson's iconic musical gets a Philippine staging. “Rent” follows a group of bohemian friends striving to make a life for themselves amid the backdrop of the AIDS crisis of the late 1980s and early 1990s in New York.

‘The Experience of Seeing’
When: May 4, 2 to 5 p.m.
Where: Y Space at the Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Plaza, Makati City

Yuchengco Museum and YFilms invite everyone to discover the fundamentals of visual storytelling through their “The Experience of Seeing.” Leading the event is Lee Briones-Meily, the master cinematographer behind the films "Baler," "Crying Ladies,” and "Tanging Yaman." Ticket prices are P350 (for students and academic faculty), P500 (for seniors and PWDs), and P700 (general public).

‘Wanted Cowboy Carter and the Rodeo Chitlin' Circuit’
When: May 4, 7 p.m.
Where: Hashi Donburi Japanese Cuisine, Quezon City

Pinoy Beyhive is hosting a listening party for Beyonce’s newest album “Cowboy Carter” this Saturday. Guests will be treated to a performance by Khymmie The Doll, freebies, and a chance to bring home special prizes. Tickets are priced at P800.

‘K-Culture Next Door: 2024 Korea Festival’
When: May 4 and 5, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. 
Where: SM Mall of Asia, Music Hall, Pasay City

South Korean indie rock band Jannabi is set to make their debut performance in the Philippines through "K-Culture Next Door: 2024 Korea Festival." The event commemorates the 75th year of diplomatic relations between South Korea and the Philippines. It is also set to feature various Filipino acts.  

South Trading Post Flea Market

Where: The Corner House, San Juan City

South Trading Post is bringing its flea market to  San Juan City. Vintage clothing, tattoo and piercing sessions, Korean photo booth, among others await guests at its event this Cinco de Mayo weekend.
