Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano announced that road closures will be implemented by the Pasay Traffic Parking and Management Office (TPMO) on Sunday, Jan. 26, to give way to the Sto. Nino Grand Procession.
Rubiano said starting 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., the following areas will be closed to vehicular traffic: Derham Park; F.B. Harrison (two lanes will be closed from F.B. Harrsion EDSA to Roxas Boulevard towards Mall of Asia); EDSA; Roxas Boulevard (two lanes will also be closed from the northbound of Roxas Blvd. EDSA to Buendia Avenue; Buendia Avenue and Jalandoni St.
She said the TPMO will also implement road closures on Jan. 25 at 6:00 p.m.to 9:00 p.m. on Jan 26 at the northbound lane of Jalondoni St. and the northbound lane of F.B. Harrison St., from Galvez St. to Arnaiz Avenue.
The mayor said all vehicles heading to Manila are advised to take Diokno Blvd., make a right turn to Vicente Sotto, and proceed to Bukaneg St. up to P. Ocampo.
Rubiano said the same route is recommended for vehicles going to Baclaran/Parañaque or they may use the entire length of Taft Avenue in going to their destination.
She said the hundreds of Santo Nino devotees will be joining the Grand Procession which will be carried through the streets of Pasay City on Jan. 26.
The mayor said said the procession will start at the Pasay City Hall and will go around the city towards Star City/Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
