The Philippine Air Force (PAF) reorganized three of its key units on Monday, Jan. 13, which affected their respective commanders.
Air Force chief Lt. Gen. Arthur Cordura led the joint change of command ceremony for the 15th Strike Wing, Tactical Operations Wing Southern Luzon (TOWSOL), and 420th Supply Wing at the PAF headquarters, Villamor Air Base in Pasay City.
Brig. Gen. Gerold Gagan assumed as the new wing commander of the 15th Strike Wing that is based at Major Danilo Atienza Air Base in Sangley Point, Cavite City. He replaced Brig. Gen. Juliano Llarenas.
Llarenas, on the other hand, assumed as the new wing commander of TOWSOL based in Lucena City, Quezon Province. He succeeded Brig. Gen. Pedro Francisco III.
Lastly, Francisco is now the new wing commander of the 420th Supply Wing, which was previously headed by Gagan.
Cordura lauded the “exemplary leadership” and “unwavering dedication” of the three PAF generals. Highlighting their contributions to the PAF’s mission og maintaining a credible, agile and future-ready force.
He challenged the generals to continue leading their new units to greater heights as the PAF continues its transformation into a mission-oriented, capability-driven and values-based organization.
