Take two: Shaira's 'Forever Single' removed from streaming platforms
At a glance

Mindanao-based singer Shaira has lost another song after her track "Forever Single (Walang Jowa)" was removed from streaming platforms.
This is the second time his song has been removed from streaming platforms. Recently, Shaira was involved in a copyright issue with Australian singer-songwriter Lenka over her cover song "Selos." The removal of her song, "Forever Single," on Spotify was posted by @allchartsph on his X (formerly Twitter) page on March 24.
"Shaira's ‘Forever Single (Walang Jowa)’ has also been taken down from online streaming platforms,” the caption read.
Although there is still no reason behind the sudden takedown of the song, some netizens believed that the melody of "Forever Single (Walang Jowa)" is similar to the 2013 song "Masih Mencintainya" by Indonesian band Papinka.
Shaira's label claps back
As of March 29, there are still no official statement from AHS Productions regarding the use of melody and the removal of "Forever Single" on Spotify.
However, in a March 24 post, they may seem to clap on Shaira's critics after emphasizing that Filipinos should not practice the "utak alimango" or crab mentality.
"Sana lang ay maalis na sa kaugalian nating mga Pinoy ang pagiging utak alimango. Matutunan nating iangat ang bawat isa. Lahat naman tayo pwedeng magkaroon ng kanya kanyang pwesto sa ibabaw. Sadyang ganun lang talaga pag trending o viral ka daming sasakay for their own benefit and gains,” the post said.
(I just hope that we Filipinos, should get rid of the crab mentality. Let's all lift one another. And at some point, all of us will be on top. It just so happens that people will get themselves involved with those who are trending or viral for their benefit and gains.)
At the end of the statement, AHS Production highlighted that they are just Bangsamoro people who also make mistakes.
"At sino ba naman kami? We are just Bangsamoro people, We are always at Peace. Tao lang rin na nagkakamali. Gusto lang namin magpasaya," the statement added.
(Who are we? We are just Bangsamoro people, We are always at peace. We’re only human who makes mistakes. We just want to make the audience happy)
