Man shot dead after attending wake

BOLINAO, Pangasinan – A 52-year-old man was shot dead after attending the wake of a neighbor in Barangay Ilog-Malino here on Thursday, February 8.

Police identified the victim as Philip Bayon Tombaga.

Tombaga had just arrived home from the wake of Recto Capeña when the suspect, Jordan Buccat Labio, 36, also from Barangay Ilog-Malino, appeared and shot him with an improvised caliber .22 magnum in the chest.

The victim was taken to the Bolinao Community Hospital here where he was declared dead.

Police recovered one fired cartridge case for caliber .22 magnum and the firearm.

Labio was nabbed in a manhunt and is now in the custody of the Bolinao police.

Suspect faces appropriate case.
