LRT-1 operations resume after fixing defective light rail vehicle

Operations of the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) resumed on Thursday morning, Feb. 1, after experiencing a defective light rail vehicle (LRV) at Libertad Station.

The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said that as of 7:43 a.m., the operation of the LRT-1, which operates from Baclaran to Monumento, has resumed to normal.

“As of 7:43 AM, February 1, 2024. We are Green and Go on all 20 stations of LRT-1,” the LRMC tweeted.

The LRMC earlier limited its operations and placed a 25-kilometer-per-hour restriction from Baclaran to Monumento due to extended servicing needed for the affected LRV.
