More than 479 families rescued from flooded areas in QC


More than 479 families in Quezon City were rescued and moved to temporary shelters in the city due to rising floodwaters in their areas on Thursday, October 24.

As of 8:00 a.m., a total of 1,773 individuals were currently staying at the evacuation centers in the city.

The Social Services Development Department (SSDD) provided hot meals to the evacuees.

The following are the evacuation centers of the city government: 

- San Francisco Elementary school
- Katipunan barangay hall 
- Manresa covered court
- Manresa conference room
- Bagong Silang evacuation center 
- Bagong SIlangan - Sitio Bakal
- Diosdado Macapagal Elementary school
- Roxas gymnasium 
- Dona Imelda covered court
- Trinity University of Asia

For emergencies/rescue, residents may call QC Helpline 122.

The personnel of QC Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Office (QCDRRMO) were deployed to different areas in the city to support residents affected by the flooding.
