The others are congressional aspirant Owen Jacques Demoni, reelectionist Councilor Peter Fianza, and neophyte Norma Ferrer Benuyo for councilor. They filed their COCs on the first day on Tuesday, October 1.

It was an uneventful day on the second day, October 2, as no candidate filed their COCs. However, candidates are expected to flock on October 8, the last day of COC filing.

Aliping expressed his intention to run again for Congress on September 14.

He thanked residents for their support when he was elected as three-term city councilor and congressman in the 16th Congress.

Aliping, who is seeking the support of former Baguio Rep. Mauricio Domogan, said he is not a member of any political party but he is open to having a party or being endorsing by a political party.

Mayor Benjamin Magalong has yet to file his COC but is expected to do so before the deadline.
