Man tagged in robbery-slay of stepson arrested in Parañaque

A man who allegedly orchestrated a robbery that resulted in the killing of his stepson was arrested in a follow-up operation by members of the Parañaque Police on Friday, September 6.

The Southern Police District (SPD) said the suspect, identified as alias “Virgilio," 52, was nabbed at around 11 a.m. inside his residence at John Paul Street, Multinational Village, Parañaque City.

Police investigation showed that the suspect was behind the robbery incident that was staged by six armed men who shot his stepsons “ Kurt” and Kirby.

Kurt died on the spot from several gunshot wounds while “Kirby” sustained a bullet wound in the abdomen.

Police said the suspects immediately fled onboard a black utility van with unknown plate number after taking away personal valuables of the victims.

Virgilio was arrested after police received a report from a concerned individual.

The suspect was detained at the police custodial facility. He was charged robbery with homicide and frustrated murder.
