The launch was spearheaded by DOH led by Health Undersecretary Gloria J. Balboa, in collaboration with the various National Government Agencies (NGAs) and private sector participation.

The “LAB for ALL” caravan program, DOH said, represented a proactive effort by the Marcos administration to deliver free healthcare services to the community.

"Patuloy na sumusuporta ang DOH sa programa ng pamahalaan na LAB for ALL Caravan, alinsunod na rin sa Universal Health Care (UHC) na naglalayong ilapit sa bawat Pilipino ang libre at kalidad na serbisyong pangkalusugan (The DOH continues to support the government's LAB for ALL Caravan program, in line with the Universal Health Care (UHC) initiative that aims to bring free and quality healthcare services closer to every Filipino)," Balboa said.

These services, said the DOH, encompass the distribution of complementary medications and access to consultations across various medical fields, including pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, ECG, dental extractions, minor surgical procedures, eye examinations, family planning guidance, as well as consultations for HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), among others.

Balboa expressed her belief in the government's dedication to extending care and compassion to all compatriots, with the ultimate goal of helping each Filipino attain a state of good health and well-being.

This undertaking, she noted, is a vital step toward creating a healthy Philippines where every life is cherished and valued, contributing to the realization of a rejuvenated nation.

In addition to the DOH, numerous other government organizations have come together to support this admirable endeavor, including the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), and the local government of Bulacan, who have all lent their support and resources to ensure the success of the LAB for ALL Caravan program.

This initiative, said the DOH, aligned with the Universal Health Care (UHC) vision, striving to bring accessible, high-quality healthcare services within reach of every Filipino citizen.

During the event, which was also attended by First Lady Liza Araneta Marcos, Balboa affirmed the DOH's unwavering commitment to supporting "LAB for ALL" since it is aligned with the Universal Health Care Act. (Zekinah Elize Espina)
