InnerVoices started in 1992 as college buddies with a shared passion for music. After juggling both professional and musical careers, the band created their album and wrote their songs in 2014.

After another brief hiatus from the entertainment scene, InnerVoices reorganized and returned in 2022 with a new lead singer and some new members.

During an intimate media conference in the TakeOver lounge in Quezon City on Sept. 7, the band's drummer Atty. Rey Bergado shared what made them reconnect again and create new songs.

"Nung pandemic nawala talaga lahat nun, so nung kalagitnaan ng 2021 naisip namin na ano yung macocontribute namin para magkapagpasaya ng mga tao, so nagreunite kami and we did our version of Gary V's paano and maganda naman yung reception from the audience," Atty. Rey said.

(During the pandemic, all of that disappeared, so in the middle of 2021, we thought about what we could contribute to making people happy, so we reunited, and we did our version of Gary V's "Paano" and the reception from the audience was great.)

Since then, InnerVoices has been doing regular bar gigs, including Hard Rock Café Makati, Hard Rock Café Manila, Bar IX, 19 East, Fin & Claw.

They also have marque shows coming up. On Nov. 25, they will be part of the biggest 80s Concert Party at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila entitled "New Wave Invasion" with top international bands such as Flocks of Seagulls, The Church, Lotus Eaters, and Cactus World News. They also have a back-to-back show with Side at 19 East on Nov. 13.

According to the band's new vocalist, Angelo Miguel, being part of the group has been an incredible journey for him.

"Honestly speaking, they are cool to be with, hindi sila nakakastress kasama, and when it comes to music namin, ang ikinaganda rin sa kanila is they respect my opinion and my musicianship, and they trust me as their frontman," Angelo said.

(Honestly speaking, they are cool to be with, I'm not stressed out when I'm with them. And when it comes to our music, the best thing about them is that they respect my opinion and my musicianship, and they trust me as their frontman)

With the positive feedback from their audience, InnerVoices decided to release three original new songs, starting with "Isasayaw Kita," a powerful ballad that speaks about the immense pain of losing someone. It was composed by lead vocalist Angelo Miguel in the aftermath of his partner's miscarriage, which resulted in the loss of his would-be daughter.

While "Anghel" is a soulful rendition of a song written about a person who has shown unconditional love even if the one to whom it was given was unworthy of such affection.

And "Hari" is a song also written by Edward Mitra during the pandemic period. The song's tribal beat gives it an exciting tone to the song as it speaks about hope, perseverance, and resilience and that despite of the challenges ahead, we are all assured that our destiny is in our hands.
