Tacloban traffic enforcer issued ticket for overloading, violating helmet ordinance


TACLOBAN CITY – A traffic enforcer of the Traffic Operation Management and Control Office here whose video became viral for driving a motorcycle with three children during the first day of classes on Tuesday was issued with a notice of violation by his fellow traffic enforcer.

He paid P1,000 for violations of the helmet ordinance and overloading.

He was also warned that disciplinary action would be imposed should he commit more violations.

The traffic enforcer whose name was withheld was caught on camera in uniform driving an overloaded motorcycle with two of his young passengers not wearing helmets on Real St.

His photos and videos drew mixed reactions from netizens who called for fair treatment among motorists.

TOMECO assured that they will not tolerate such acts of their enforcers.
