K-pop acts nominated for Song, Show of the Summer, Group of the Year at VMAs 

MTV released the nominees for four categories for the 2023 Video Music Awards (VMAs) that will be held on Sept. 12 at Prudential Center in New Jersey. 

For Song of Summer (voting starts Sept. 7), BTS member Jungkook’s “Seven (feat. Latto)” is nominated along with Tomorrow X Together (TXT) and Jonas Brothers’ "Do It Like That" and rookie girl group Fifty Fifty’s “Cupid.”

For Group of the Year (voting starts Sept. 4), BLACKPINK, Seventeen, Tomorrow X Together, Fifty Fifty and NewJeans are nominated. BLACKPINK also bagged a nomination for Show of Summer. 

BLACKPINK scored a total of six nominations. Earlier, BLACKPINK bagged four nominations at the VMAs for Best K-Pop, Best Choreography, Best Art Direction and Best Editing, all for “Pink Venom.” 

TXT got a total of four nominations. They were earlier nominated for Push Performance of the Year and Best K-pop for “Sugar Rush Ride.” 

The other nominees for Best K-pop are Aespa, “Girls”; BLACKPINK, “Pink Venom”; Fifty Fifty, “Cupid”; Seventeen, “Super”; and Stray Kids, “S-Class.”
