Longest-running wind energy event tackles PH transition to renewable energy


The country’s transition to renewable energy and the transmission challenges it faces  were discussed during the recent Philippines Onshore Offshore Wind & Energy Storage Summit 2023 (POOWES 2023), coupling the technology of harnessing wind energy with the latest innovations.

Atty. Jose M. Layug recently spoke at the Philippines Onshore Offshore Wind & Energy Storage Summit 2023 (POOWES 2023), one of the longest-running wind energy events in the East and Southeast Asia Region.

Divina Law energy legal expert Atty. Jose M. Layug, a former undersecretary at the Department of Energy (DOE) and the President of Developers of Renewable Energy for Advancement, Inc (DREAM), shared his views on the country’s transition to renewable energy and the transmission challenges it faces with some 300 representatives from government agencies, OEMs or original equipment manufacturers on automotive and informationa technology (IT);

Electronic Prescribing for Controlled Substances (EPCs), power producers, investment and financing companies, law firms and supply chain service providers at the event.

Other speakers at POOWES 2023 included Ambassador of Norway to the Philippines His Excellency Christian Halaas Lyster, DOE Undersecretary Sharon S. Garin, and Board of Investments Governor Katrina Therese Lim-Dy.
