Man wanted for carnapping, robbery arrested in Muntinlupa City

Members of the Pasay City police's Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) conducted a manhunt operation that led to the arrest of a man wanted for carnapping and robbery in Muntinlupa City on Wednesday, May. 3. Col. Froilan Uy, city police chief, identified the suspect as Bernie Fontanilla, 45, a resident of Sun Valley, Barangay 197, NAIA, Pasay City. Uy said Fontanilla was arrested at around 4:00 p.m. along Sampaguita Road, Poblacion, Muntinlupa City. The city police chief said members of the WSS arrested Fontanilla armed with a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Brigido Artemon Luna II of Parañaque Regional Trial Court Branch 196 with a bail recommended at P180,000. Aside from the carnapping case, a warrant of arrest was also issued for the arrest of the suspect for robbery by Judge Wilhelmina Jorge-Wagan, of Pasay RTC Branch 111, with a recommended bail of P24,000.
