National Women’s Month is not yet over. To further empower Filipinas, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) will conduct a digital forum series beginning Wednesday, March 15. PCW’s three-part Digital Forum Series will be held on all the remaining Wednesdays of March. These will revolve around digitalization and how women can be protected and empowered through technology. “No registration, no charge. Just follow PCW’s Facebook page to get notified about [the forum] every Wednesday at 1 p.m.,” said the commission. The first of three will be held on March 15. This will focus on gender equality and the government’s efforts to increase the capability of women to enter the digital industry. “[Through this, we] will [also]  inform women about programs, activities, and projects the government provides and that they can avail themselves,” said PCW. The second forum will be conducted on March 22. With the theme “Safe In Tech and Cyberspace,” PCW will tackle the risks that Filipinas face in the digital world. “[We] will look into the vulnerabilities [of] women and girls and discuss possible safeguards, solutions, and security mechanisms,” the commission added. The third and culminating episode of PCW’s forum will be arranged on March 29 and it will focus on inclusivity in innovation and technology, seeking to reiterate calls for the increased participation of women in the industry. PCW previously stressed the important role of digitalization in the country's endeavors toward ending the gender gap.
