“Our office is committed to providing the public with facilities such as these that they can use for the safe conduct of their activities regardless of the weather,’’ Ramos emphasized in an interview.

Ramos pointed out that the multi-purpose building projects worth P23.39 million were implemented under the department’s regular infrastructure program with funds sourced from the 2022 General Appropriation Act (GAA).

Aside from the multi-purpose buildings, Ramos stated that they also completed the construction of a flood control structure in Bangut River in Capas, Tarlac that will protect local residents and agricultural properties from heavy flooding especially during extreme rains of long duration.

“This flood mitigation structure will keep residents safe and allow the continuity of all economic and social activities even during the rainy season,’’ Ramos continued.

He said that the DPWH Tarlac office implements flood mitigation projects to protect residences and other private and government structures from any damage.
