The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has started the construction of a four-storey main academic building at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines - College of Engineering and Architecture (PUP-CEA) in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said the modern building with a floor area of 477 square meters, will provide vital additional space and facilities for PUP-CEA students and faculty members.
“When completed, the extension campus will provide additional classrooms, a laboratory, a library, an audio-visual room, a faculty office, and bigger function rooms, complete with an air-conditioning system for a more conducive learning environment for engineering and architecture students and faculty members,” said Bonoan.
DPWH National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR) director Loreta M. Malaluan said the new PUP-CEA building project costs P94.35 million and is expected to be completed within 360 days. (Trixee Rosel)
