2 convenience store thieves nabbed in QC

Two men were arrested by the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) after they allegedly stole items from a convenience store in Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches, Quezon City early Thursday morning, Dec. 21.

The QCPD identified the suspects as Renato Tugado, 21, and  Carlo Tapang, 23, both residents of Brgy. Gulod, Novaliches, Quezon City.

The QCPD Novaliches Station (PS 4) deployed personnel after receiving a call at around 2:23 a.m. on Thursday, from the witness, Al Khalid Ross, the closed-circuit television personnel of Alfamart Convenient Store about a robbery incident in one of their branches along Susano Road, Brgy. Upon their arrival, the operatives spotted the suspects inside the convenience store at around 3 a.m.. They immediately arrested the suspects.

Recovered from the suspects were a 10-inches long fan knife;  a metal cutting saw about 14 inches long; a flat screw driver; several packs of assorted cigarettes; assorted perfumes; and a lighter.

The arrested suspects will be charged before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, police said.
