Team Secret, RRQ to take part in largest Valorant event in history

Team Secret and Rex Regum Qeon are set to participate in the Lock//In São Paulo, the largest Valorant event in the esports’ title history which will feature a total of 32 teams from all over the world at the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in Brazil from Feb. 13 to Mar. 4.

Ten teams were invited from EMEA, Americas and Pacific including Team Secret and RRQ, both of which bannered by Philippines’ top Valorant players. Two additional teams from China are also taking part in the three-week tournament.

The tournament will use a single elimination format. To maximize the number of inter-regional matches at LOCK//IN, a random draw process was implemented that paired teams from different regions in the first round, while also maximizing the possibility of inter-regional matches for the second round.

The 16 matchups were distributed across two brackets which will be referenced as Alpha and Omega.

Team Secret and RRQ were both selected in the Omega bracket with the former facing up against Team Liquid while the latter taking on another EMEA team in FUT Esports.
